I have more than 30 years of experience researching and writing about the South, especially Confederate imagery (monuments and flags) and memorialization. I’m the author of four books and numerous op-eds on the subject of Confederate monuments. I’ve also given numerous media interviews and have spoken on this subject to several community groups.  I’ve served as a historical consultant with local governments, as well as provided expertise in monument removal cases.
